Quest Buddy ("the App") is developed by Futuron Inc. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains our practices regarding your information.
Quest Buddy stores your quests, preferences, and profile data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data does not leave your device except as described below.
Quest Buddy does not require account creation, login, or any form of registration. There are no usernames, passwords, or email addresses collected.
Quest Buddy uses OpenAI's API to generate personalized quests and verify quest completion. When generating or verifying quests, the following data may be sent to OpenAI:
This data is sent through a secure proxy and is not stored by our servers. OpenAI processes this data subject to their Privacy Policy. Your display name is not sent to AI services.
You must explicitly consent to AI data sharing during onboarding before any data is sent.
Quest Buddy may request location access to generate location-relevant quests. Location data is used only on-device for quest context and is not stored or transmitted to any server. You can deny location access and still use the app.
Photos taken for quest proof are stored locally on your device. Photos are sent to OpenAI only for quest verification when you explicitly submit proof. Photos are not stored on any server after processing.
OpenAI: For quest generation and proof verification. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Apple Frameworks: SwiftData (local storage), MapKit (map display), PhotosUI (camera access). Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Quest Buddy does not include any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
Quest Buddy does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
